The Vanator Guarantee
At Vanator Kennels, our goal is to produce healthy puppies, true to type, with
loving personalities.

Puppies purchased from Vanator Kennel are sold with a written health guarantee that is in
effect for one week after receipt of the puppy by purchaser.  The buyer should have the puppy
examined by a veterinarian during that seven day period.  All veterinary costs for said puppy
are the responsibility of the purchaser, unless otherwise agreed upon, in writing by  Vanator
and the purchaser (s).  If said puppy is proven to be ill with an infection contracted while still
under our care the purchaser may return puppy and have it replaced as soon as another
puppy becomes available.  If the owner chooses to keep said puppy, then they are
responsible for all veterinarian costs, unless otherwise agreed upon, in writing by Vanator
and the purchaser (s).
If a buyer choses to return a puppy they are responsible for all shipping costs.
Fifty percent of purchase price will be refunded on all returned puppies.
A $200.00, non refundable retainer, is required to hold any puppy.  The puppy must be paid
for in full (before being picked up or shipped)  within sixty days of seller receiving the
retainer.  Buyer pays all shipping costs.
If a puppy develops a genetic health issue during the first year of life, we will 1) replace said
puppy (as soon as a puppy becomes available,) or  2) if the owner chooses to keep the puppy
we will upon proof of spay or neuter, allow the purchaser half off another puppy.
At Vanator, we test our Bull Terrier breeding stock for health defects, such as having a BAER
hearing test done, check Mini Bull Terriers to guarantee the sire and dam are free of eye
problems,  and, also, do a heart and kidney examination.
In Shih Tzu we look for eye problems such as PRA or KCS.

If at any time (during the life time of the dog) the owner can no longer care for said animal,
Vanator will help the owners find a suitable adoptive home for their pet.

Our desire is that you and your dog have many happy years together; therefore, we will
always be available to help you deal with behavioral or health issues that may arise.  Having
said this, we are aware that certain homes may prove to be non conducive for certain breeds
and individual dogs. Though we try hard to screen potential buyers and we breed for
appropriate temperament, this does not guarantee that problems will not arise. We are not
responsible for temperament issues which may arise in environments that we have no control
over.  We socialize our puppies with both people and other dogs.  They accompany us to work
so that they are exposed to a wide variety of experiences, such as meeting new people and
riding in a car on a regular basis.  We know however, that problems are bound to arise in any
relationship between sentient being, therefore, we want you to know (though we assume no
responsibility for those problems) we will help in any way possible.  We have had over thirty
years experience working with canine rehabilitation.

The best advice we can offer, no matter where you get your puppy, is to do research about the
breed before buying, find a reputable breeder who is willing to help you for the lifetime of the
dog, and seek to interact with your pet in a wide variety of situations.  Realizing that your
puppy is a thinking creature who can easily get bored and therefore display destructive
behavior, do not acquire a dog if you do not have the time or energy to address your dog's
needs for exercise and mental stimulation.  For you dog to live a long and healthy life, we
recommend that you feed a natural diet and adhere to the new protocols as regards
vaccination.  If you follow these simple rules, we know you will enjoy your pet throughout his
or her lifetime.
